Ive noticed something about Kaplan after doing PR and AAMC tests. PR seems to be hard, but they don't introduce many "tricks" per se..its more intensive on knowledge based questions with critical thinking. The AAMC tests seem pretty straightforward.

On the other hand, I feel that Kaplan is somewhat harder (in reference to the actual test, the curve is actually quite generous). Percentage wise, im scoring lower on Kaplan. I feel that there are many trick based questions that are not similar to AAMC which is straightforward. Also, the Kaplan PS section has 8 passages, while the real test only has 7 passages and Kaplan Verbal contains 6 passages while the real test contains 7 passages. I feel like this may end up screwing me over in the long run.

I want to know what others think of Kaplan in terms of accuracy and dependability!

I think everything has the same amount of passages, but I feel Kaplan PS has screwed me over. Kaplan's PS strategy is: make our tests super detailed and full of tricks -aka hard- then make the curve insanely generous. HOWEVER, I studied for 3 months always looking for the trick/weird little thing I had to do and now when taking AAMC tests I take every straight forward problem as some weird trick, loose my head, and score same percentile as Kaplan but without the mad curve. I'm starting to loose faith ...

i feel the same exact way..i dont think the real AAMC tricks you at all... its very straightforward (not to say EASY, just that it rewards you for knowing a concept)

kaplan seems to reward you for knowing the concept + trick.. i dont know if its reducing my score

I think BS is the only section that Kaplan emulates with any accuracy. A single passage of Kaplan’s PS requires as much calculating as the entire PS section on the actual MCAT. Kaplan’s verbal section I found was either A. too straight forward or B. incorporated some silly trick.
