hi guys im getting ready to take my OAT in two weeks and i have been doing the practice test on the Kaplan book( the one that has the two full lenght exams) i have been doing horrible. for those of you who have takeb your OAT, is it true that the kaplan test on this book are alot harder than the actual OAT? i also bought topscore and i did pretty good on it after practicing how you do the problems. is it true that topscore is harder than the actual OAT? please let me know as soon as possible. im counting on your feedback, so that i can stop freaking out.
thanks

Heey. I'm on the same boat as you! Taking the OAT soon - and the Kaplan FL stuff just makes me depressed. But from searching this forums I learned from most people that Kaplan is harder (I wish I can get someone's opinion on Kaplan Physics versus real OAT, b/c I've been doing so horrible on Kaplan Physics ...)

Did you get a chance to do the opt test? It's so much easier! People say the difficulty will be similar to that test.

But don't be discouraged... I've been there and worried myself into a frenzy. I think Kaplan purposely gives questions slightly harder so you won't find the actual test as bad.

Yes, Kaplan is harder than the real test. My scores on Kaplan physics were horrible.. like 250-270 but I ended up getting a 340 on the test. Then again, I was taking physics at the time as well and our prof really drilled in a lotta of the conceptual facts.

Because of Kaplan, I felt more under prepared than I really was. So don't be discouraged by your scores!

On a strange note, I was doing well on my Biology sections in Kaplan but I ended up doing bad on the OAT. (290)

thanks for the advice, i haven't dont the one on the ADA website, i heard it has several erros and that its pretty easy but when you get to OAT its actually harder, so i dont know what to believe.

The opted test is easy, but it's most similar in difficulty, style of questions, to the actual OAT. It's not meant to be similar to the actual OAT across all sections; some are harder, like math. We say opted test is closer than actual OAT because other sources like Kaplan, destroyer, and achiever, while are good, are overkills.
