Can anyone tell me whether the COMPLEX Q review questions are formatted any differently than the USMLE Q review or if the only difference is that there is additional Osteopathic material included. I am hoping there is no difference in question format (with the exception of the Osteopathic questions of course).

Thanks

It's Comlex

If you log on to www.nbome.org you'll be able to see some sample questions. And if you do a search you will get some varying opinions on the subject. Some say they are similar, some say they are better some say they are worse.

There is a difference in the question format as well as the content. So far I've found that the COMLEX questions emphasize neuro and musculoskeletal more, as well as giving relevant osteopathic findings for other systems. There are also matching type questions unlike anything in USMLE.

Interestingly, I am consistently scoring 10% higher on the COMLEX questions than the USMLE ones. I think its because most of those neuro and msk type questions feel like gimmes to me after 1.5 years of OMM.

Just curious, is this comparing the two Kaplan Qbanks?

Yep, you have to purchase them separately. I'm taking the live Kaplan classes and there was an option w/ just USMLE QBank and one w/ USMLE & COMLEX for an extra $100 or $200 (can't remember which one).
