I took the Kaplan course final today, and I felt like it was WAYYY easier than the

diagnostic or the midterm. So I was wondering if the course final test was accurate

in terms of difficulty.

And another question I have is the RC passage in the real DAT.

Some passages on the practice tests were not as detail

oriented, but some passages were REALLY detail oriented. For example, one of the

practice test passage was on psychiatric disorder. It had some enzyme composition

in addition to several test on that disease and the results on them. I had 20 minutes

left to read and answer the 16-18 questions on that passage, and I had to guess

almost all of them due to shortage of time.

Ok so the Final was easier than the other tests because I think you are supposed to take it closer to your date and so then you have some confidence..which I think it probably good.

BUT the ochem for the final is too easy I think. But my bio and oc were both lower on the final than the real test. I didn't really think the RC on the DAT was that hard but I only did two kaplan RC from the full length tests. I remember one Kaplan passage made me so mad...I think it was about emissions and NO testing on car exhaust or something? I stopped reading half way through..I think it might have been on the midterm?

Anyways, I think the final is DEFINITELY harder than the other Kaplan tests...I thought 1-3 were pretty hard for sciences (thats all I did)..3 was especially bad.

I took the Kaplan course this summer and the DAT yesterday. Hopefully I can help you out a bit. I scored higher on the Kaplan final PAT compared to the real DAT, but about the same for AA. Most people say take your Kaplan score and subtract about 3 points off for PAT, that's what happened for my score. AA is about the same.

For RC, I had three bio passages yesterday and I thought they were pretty easy, about the same as Kaplan. There were quite a few questions about tone and author's perspective though, those were the tough ones for me.
