Kaplan Exam "day before exam"

anyone take this exam and think there were multiple answers with a. no right answer choice or b. the SAME answer twice (and it was right so you had to pickbetween the same thing!)

what a waste of 4 hours 2 days before my test. 😡
i should have taken topscore or achiever

In an inducible gene system regulation system the repressor binds to the operator to block transcription.

I thought the point of an inducible system was for something to bind to the repressor and start transcription...

And is hte stomach involved in mechanical breakdown of food?

well the repressor is bound to the operator when the substance is not present, so it keeps the cell from wasting energy by producing that product all the time when it is not necessary. But you are right too, they are both right.

And yah, the stomach churns the food.

i actually took the exam few days ago and had the same problem....
i don't understand why their online stuff has so many mistakes. It was a waste for me as well.

Hmm.. I haven't taken that exam yet but I was planning on it.. should I just take the final instead?

I was frustrated with the exam the entire 4 hours I was taking it. I don't recommend it... seems like they didn't put much effort into making the exam. PAT = pretty much all repeat Q's.... science has wrong answers and very poorly worded Q's... I dunno. Take the final. I thought the final wasn't as difficult... but it was better structured.

Thanks for the advice... I haven't taken that one or the final for Kaplan and I still have one left on Topscore so I will just skip it... I'd rather not get discouraged !
