I am working with MTB and the High Yield lectures for about 6 weeks now, before that I worked myself through First Aid Step 2CK. I have to say that I'm an IMG, so I don't know if my experience applies to the U.S. graduates as well.
I think MTB has a couple of advantages over FA 2CK, especially when it comes to pointing out "best initial tests" and "most accurate tests", also it gives you much more practical information. The book as well as the lectures are very easy to understand and they do a really good job in pointing out the "high yield" facts. I use the lectures mainly for review. Each lecture section is about 20-30 minutes long. Conrad Fisher does most of the videos (cardiology, infectious diseases, neurology, endocrinology, hematology) and he does them in a similar fashion as the ones I have seen from him for Step 1. Fisher does explain additional things that are not in the book, but the others pretty much stick to the text. The chapters/lectures on infectious disease, cardiology and endocrinology are excellent. For OB/Gyn I would recommend an additional source.
I hope that helps.
