Hi

Im new to forum, am an IMG, just getting to prepare for step 1. Can anyone recommend which is better as a start - kaplan home study programme books (the three volumes) or the *kaplan video lectures and lecture notes* .

Would appreciate the advice.

Thanks

what do you think of webprep with the kaplan lecture notes? any ideas?

While I was studying for biochemistry and pathology, I did it; webprep + lecture notes. It's useful but keep in mind that webprep is not complete, some chapters are incomplete or not there at all.

for the video do you just order them through kaplan? and do you have to go to the center to watch them?

I really want to clear up the soup I'm in, early on.
Did you guys read the Kaplan lecture notes, watch the videos along with Goljan, BRS, HY? Or did you use the notes and videos alone? (Well it goes without saying that everyone used FA too.)

I supplemented with other materials but the only other book I really tried to read cover to cover was Goljan Rapid Review. The other materials included 2 high yields, med microbio made simple, lange's pharm, couple others. All just referenced or skimmed.

I bought the lecture notes and audio, no videos. I thought the pharm, immun, micro, and biochem were good.

I bought the lecture notes and audio, no videos. I thought the pharm, immun, micro, and biochem were good. All the others sucked. I'm not sure if it was worth the money. I listened to them over Christmas break so didn't feel like I was wasting time. I listened to Goljan through out 2nd semester and Listened to all of his lecutres over 5 days b/4 finals. I listened again 2 wks b/4 Step 1 to specific lectures on systems that I was having a hard time getting. I read his rapid review book over and over. I love his high yields too, especially his anatomy and neuro (only used his stuff for those 2 subjects).

Please don't discuss buying/selling copyrighted material. Thanks!
