I am retaking the DAT sometime in September. I used Kaplan Online course last year but I was very nonchalant about it. I did destoryer, chad's notes, and topscore. I got an overall score of 16. Maybe I didn't learn from my mistakes or something? But I want to get more practice with problems and a few practice exams would be nice too. Is it worth purchasing the online course again?

You actually don't have to "purchase" the course again. Just call them up and tell them you want to use your higher score guarantee and they should be able to open up your online syllabus and stuff for another few months.

Honestly, people give Kaplan a bad reputation on here, but it is mostly because they just have the big book, not the full course materials. Honestly, the online material is completely worth the money. Do the subject tests, workshops, practice tests, etc and you will see improvement. You can search the forum for people who utilized the entire Kaplan course and they did quite well. I have a few friends that used basically only Kaplan and received in the 21/22 range.

Bio is definitely a little weak for Kaplan so you should supplement that. But GC/OC subject tests, etc are very good. It will teach you all the basics, etc and then you can use destroyer to reinforce. Of course get Chad for GC/OC as well.

I really like doing practice problems so that is another reason that I like the Kaplan online material. I would rather do problems on the computer and such as compared to reading/studying.

Good luck!

PS- I don't work for Kaplan haha...

I liked Kaplan because it gives you a structured type-thing and I think I needed that instead of just "ok I am going to open up a textbook and start reading..." I also enrolled in Kap before I really started coming to SDN and getting an idea of ways to improve/more study materials.
