Kaplan Practice Test #2 Results...ADVICE please!

So I'm coming down to the final stretch...about 2.5 weeks left until my test!!!!! 😱 I can't believe its finally approaching! So I took my 2nd Kaplan practice test today and here are my scores:

B: 20
GC: 19
OC: 16 😡
RC: 22
QR: 22
PAT: 21
TS: 19
AA: 20

I still haven't gotten a good indication from anyone how Kaplan really compares to the real test...besides PAT being easier. I would appreciate some thorough advice. Thanks once again to everyone on this site!!!

Here is my experience from all the Kaplan practice exams Vs. REAL DAT.

Real DAT, which I took today 🙂 9-1-2010.

BIO: GC :OC : PAT : RC : QR : TS : AA
-19: 22 : 20 : 22 : 18 : 21 : 20 : 20

I would say that kaplan scores are pretty much a good indication of your true performance except the BIOLOGY section, some of the questions are freaking HARD 😡.

*BTW, in addition to kaplan's stuff, I studied Chad's vids for OC and GC and read AP Cliff's for BIO.

The only kaplan test I took aside from the diagnostic, was the final. I realize it isn't test 2, but I thought I'd post my scores to help you out.

I skipped the PAT and QR

From my experience, the bio is much easier, and the chem is much harder on Kaplan than the real deal. To help with the chemistries, I can't say enough positive stuff about Chad. He alone, I think, will get you 20's in the chemistries. Good luck.

check my breakdown and compare my kaplan scores to the real test.

Bio: score should prob be around the same becuase DAT bio is more general, but some q's require in depth thinking. those are the ones that nail u on the dat. the ones that nail u on kaplan are the hard specific ones- these wont land, but some of those concepts may.

Gchem and Ochem: very representative. chem was easier on real dat. ochem was about the same, with a few more rxns.

For science, if you're not confident, review destroyer. And i said review not do, as it is a study guide, not just practice problems.

RC: very representative.

PAT: slightly easier.

QR: much easier. Use math destroyer here.


Give yourself 3-4 with hard prep of the destroyers, and take another test. Also, review all your weaknesses from the kaplan test.

Ten bucks you'll improve.

I was making 20's on the Kaplan full length tests, and i got 23 AA, 24 TS, 20 PAT. I thought Kaplan OC and GC were harder than real thing. I also was getting about 85& of the destroyer problems correct the week of the test. Hope this helps. Feel free to PM me if you would likewise
