I have gotten 24 on two of my Kaplan full-length practive exams. I'm freaking out that this is the best I will do on the real test. Any advice, happy stories?
Don't sweat it at all... I pulled somewhere in there on my first (I can't remember if it was 24 or 26), studied a lot, pulled 32 on the last kaplan practice test, studied a lot more, and got the nice 38 on the real thing...
Needless to say, I was (more than) pleasantly surprised. Kaplan makes there tests hard on purpose... That way everyone does better than they expect and says "Wow, Thank God I took Kaplan"
I got a 28 on the first practice test, and the last practice test (kaplan) I took before the test I got a 32. I had been getting 35-37's on the AAMC tests so I wasn't too worried. I ended up with at 35 on the real thing.
I would use the AAMC tests as a yardstick for how you are doing. The Kaplan tests definitely ARE harder. I just recommend you do EVERY SINGLE PROBLEM SET. You wont regret it.
