For those of you that did the Kaplan QR subject tests did you think that they were relevant & helped you prepare. I just finished my first one which was all word problems, I checked the other ones & they don't have really any geometry or trig. Based on my prevoius practice tests, the subject test didn't closely resemble the questions. I'm worried that the subject tests for this section are too time consuming & may not be relevent (you know how most of Kaplan's supplementary material is basically just a cut & paste from MCAT & CAT prep classes). Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I don't like the way Kaplan organizes QR subject tests. They grouped them into groups instead of scattering them out as Topscore or the DAT. I didn't have prob solving them, but I made a mistake not timing myself or practicing enough. Although it's most likely you won't be able finish those all word problems in their suggested time frame, you should try to do them as fast as you can. My real QR had a lot of long word probs. I ran out of time. And I am very good at math. So, do yourself a favor, practice to speed up. Prepare for the worst. I heard good things about acethedat's QR. Good Luck.

PS: I replied because your puppy is so cute : )

Thank you for your reply & suggestion. My old avatar of the golden retriever was something I got off the internet & not actually my puppy. I had one growing up, they really are the cutest puppies. I recently got a digital camera so I posted a picture of my "kids" as my new avatar. It's almost impossible to get a picture of both of them looking @ the camera.

I am wondering the same thing about kaplan and having trouble finishing in the timeframe allowed. This is my worst section. Anyone with some input?

I feel the same way about the QR subject tests that Kaplan has... the thing is that they break the subject tests down by category.. and a full subject test on word problems is obviously gonna take you alot longer than one on geometry so overall, they're just for practice on specific areas.
