I took the DAT once but my RC score is really low. I call up some schools and they even suggest a retake, since the low RC score may hinder my chance. English is my second language and i struggle with time a lot during the test. I have read up posts of many other sdners who score high on the RC, but still couldn't find those strategies work for me.

I will retake the DAT in November and still find myself struggling in the RC question. It's not a really easy section for me. I'm thinking about taking private tutoring for the RC section. I haven't tried this yet.

I don't know if i should call up Kaplan for private tutoring or any more resources. Those of you that already take kaplan private for single subject, could you please point out if this work? Do their tutors experience and how about the price?

If it's not just kaplan but other prep class that has this service, and you know somebody who experiences and willing to help. Please let me know and give me some suggestions. Money is a big issue to me now because all of my money is in the application. However, if i can improve my scores up 2 or 3 points, I will definitely take the chance.

Reading is really hard to improve in 2 months, and a tutor really won't help. I would recommend read more and read critically, instead of hiring a tutor, buy ACT, SAT, LSAT, GRE and GMAT study guides and do all the readings (TIMED) and then answer the questions. Practice day in day out, that is your best chance.

Good luck
Just out of curiosity, how low is too low? i scored 15 on acheiver test 1. and i am honestly worried.

me 2 feel your pain, 🙁

just read hardcore during these two months and cross your finger on DAT.
