kaplan review books

what do you guys think of the kaplan review books? i have an opportunity to get them for free, but i dont know how much time i should spend with them, versus first aid/step up/BRS. anybody with experience using the kaplan set have any comments? thanks!

I used Kaplan's step 1 home study books. Loved them! Did well on the exam.

can you tell me how you studied exactly ... did you rely solely on Kaplan? How much per day did you do? How long did you study?

The home study program, at least when I did it, was yours. I've still got my books.

I did Kaplan home study, BRS Path, BRS Phys, BRS Pharm (some, not all), and online qBank.

I studied about 5 hours/day for about 5 weeks.

i am getting them for free because i coordinated a group rate for qbank for my school, and the woman i worked with was really nice and told me i could have any of their products for free. i chose q-review, then i asked her if she had an extra set of books she could hook me up with. i haven't gotten them in the mail yet, but i think they'll be really useful.
