If that's w/o repeats (assumption #1), an 85% on Qbank w/o taking tests that focus on specific elements of each section(assumption #2) would likely make for a very high score on the real thing.

take it easy fireball. if you're concentrating on specific subject matter you're more likely to answer them correctly since you've recently studied the subject as opposed to coming upon questions relating to subjects you haven't seen or studied in a while. reason I mentioned it is because i've heard of people "kicking butt" on qbank and not doing so hot on the real thing only to find out they "cheated" while taking the "bank". also, read a bit more carefully and you'll see I said if you concentrate on "specific elements of each section" (eg. CV, endocrine, pulmonary, MSK for peds and medicine). I didn't mention there would be a discrepancy by taking each section separately.

I didn't quite get a 271 on step2, but i ended up with an average in the upper 70's on qbank and got a 249/99 on the real thing. Q bank is probably the closest thing to the real exam, only the real exam has longer passages with more information to fish thru. More lab values are given and you must look at them all and spot the abnormal ones. If you're scoring in the 80's, you should do very well on the real thing. Just try to get a good night's sleep the night before and pace yourself (if you need to).
