I believe that someone posted about this a while back with no responses, so I thought that I would give it a try again. I was wondering if anyone could comment on the quality of the following Kaplan lecturers - R. Dunn (Physiology), Raymon (Pathology and Physiology), Moscatello (Microbiology & Immunology), and Seastone (Biochemistry). Thanks in advance.

hey, anyone got any comments on these too? There are the lecturers at Atlanta:

White (Anatomy)
Ruebush (Immuno/Micro)
Kudrath (Physiology)
Daugherty (Behavorial)
Turco (Biochem)
Harris (Pharm)
Goljan (Path)

Dr. White (I'm assuming James White) is AWESOME. he taught our neuroscience class and is a great lecturer (he also has a review book out that's in the USMLE roadmap series for neuroscience and anatomy). he teaches at a bunch of schools (I believe all the UMDNJs, Drexel, UPenn, possibly others).

I'm sure you know who Goljan is.

haven't heard of anyone else on your list.

Daugherty is fanatastic.

Dunn and Raymond are great to putting you to sleep. Raymond's english is really bad too. He once said "so if you realise this fact, then you should not feel any surprise when someone tells you that..." instead of saying 'consequently'. Made me laugh.

Don't know about the rest (yet). I'm going through the Pharma videos these days, taught by Anthony Trevor of the Lange "Katzung and Trevor's Pharmacology" fame. He's a really good teacher.

Dr. Kudrath taught us some physiology lectures at Ross and he is absolutely amazing. You will understand physio like no other. But Dr. Robert Dunn is also pretty good. Raymon's English is bad but he is very good at integrating other topics into whatever he is teaching, so you get the big picture.

As teachers, both Dunn and Raymond are good. They're just really boring. The only REALLY bad teacher I've come across in the Kaplan videos is for pathology. Don't know the guy's name, he's young and looks gay (not a homophobic remark, just an obvious observation). Goljan joining Kaplan is a big boost to them no doubt.

I haven’t attended their Kaplan lectures yet but, Moscatello (Microbiology & Immunology) and Seastone (Biochemistry) are great teachers. But I’m biased; they teach at my school and are a few of my favorite professors. 😀 😍
