I noticed this morning that the overall user average for my qbank thus far (~1700 questions completed) has dropped from a 61% to 57%. Seems very sudden for such a huge drop to happen overnight. Also, on my most recent set of questions, the user average was a 51%, whereas it has almost exclusively been in the upper 50s on every other set before this. Anyone else notice this? Maybe because board prep season is kicking up? I wonder if that should make me feel better because it seems to "artificially boost" my predicted score.

Even though the user average has dropped, your average should have stayed the same. Thus, the score predictor didn't make your score any higher. A 62%, regardless if the avg user qbank score is 50% or 80%, still gives you a 230.

Basically, my take on it, is that they added a bunch of new questions and/or refreshed the %% correct on questions, thus lowering the avg.

PS. My user avg showed the same decrease (61 --> 57), but my qbank score obviously stayed the same.

Did you notice the new Tutor mode...and that it's not possible for someone to "cheat" in Tutor mode anymore? Ie, we can't see the answers before submitting our own answer choice. This probably has a lot to do with it... maybe they just reset the averages with the new percentage now... that's my guess.

yeah, sorry if i was not clear, but my average has stayed the same. is the score predictor really the same - because i feel like mine is projecting me at a higher score - maybe i just forgot because i have not used it recently. hmm. thanks.
