KCOM or DMU?!!

Anyone else out there considering these 2 schools as top 2 choices?

I chose DMU over KCOM...

I liked the overall "feeling" at DMU better than KCOM, plus the curriculum better suited me. Also, Kirksville (city) sucks....it's out in the middle of nowhere and there's nothing to do (except make fun of the locals).

DMU all the way!

Just come to DMU. Great people, great teachers, great town, and such an awesome bunch of classmates.

Actually, I think both schools are very good, and you really should visit both of them, and talk to some of the students while you're there. It's very helpful, and you'd have a better idea of which school has the things that you're looking for.

A poster named bokimbo was accepted at both and he posted a similar question a few weeks ago - he ended up picking KCOM. PM bokimbo and he might be able to help you out.

KCOM's rep. is a little better, but DMU's surroundings are probably more appealing. If you consider all the factors, you'll see that both are good places to be. I'm obviously a little biased, but KCOM is the original and best DO school out there so you can never go wrong by picking it.

i was accepted at both and chose KCOM. for me DMU did have better surroundings (at least a larger metro area to live in), but didn't strike me as a school where the students were just in love with the program. most of the students that i talked to were happy, but there were a few that i spoke with who weren't. when i went to KCOM everyone i met loved the fact that they were there and took pride in their places in the founding DO school. pride in tradition i guess. their excitement translated into excitement for me to be a part of that. i knew where i wanted to go before i left kirksville. it clicked.

docslytherin has captured my feelings exactly. I had the same choice about two months ago and chose KCOM. DMU is a good school too, but KCOM just felt right to me.
