I have been accepted to both of these programs. But I am finding it hard to make a decision between them. I know KCUM is a DO and TCMC is MD so generally people tend to lean towards MD. But I believe that KCUM has a solid program and a solid history while TCMC is relatively new school but has a good program as well. KCUM offers an interview after the 1st semester and TCMC doesn't offer anything even though I have read in some threads that they like their MBS students, but thats too vague to make any decision. Any one have any good advise on the matter that would like to help me out?

ps: KCUMB gives you a free iPad if you attend so thats pretty tight.. lol

I hope you read my synopsis of TCMC MBS program. FACT: 63 graduated his year, about 10 (maybe) admitted to THEIR MD program.......................only 69 graduated in the MD program this year. Good program but not a high percentage of MBS will get in. They like their MBS students BUT very limited amount of seats because it is a SMALL medical school. Competition is fierce and some who had a 4.0 in the MBS program did not get in. Compare what I am telling you with what you can gather with KCUM stats. The program at TCMC is a very good program and I think it definitely helped me getting multiple acceptances into DO schools this year. Some MBS student at TCMC did get into MD programs elsewhere. Some MBS students are taking a gap year to retake MCAT, shadow etc. Good luck with your choice. Just have to be honest with you. (If you decide on TCMC, some of the profs, admission board and clinicians are DO!) On a side note...............not all MBS students were given interviews! They select interviews after the first semester in January. SOME not ALL who wanted to proceed into medical schools were given interviews! Enjoy your free iPad! lol
