KCUMB review practices

So, I called KCUMB to make sure my file was complete and I was told that my application was still "active status". She said that it means that my application was reviewed but they were not inviting me for an interview at this time. She went on to say that they would continue to review it over the next cycles. Does anyone know how this works? Do they just keep reading my application every month until I look as good or better than the rest of the people in the pile???(this could take awhile). I guess it is better than an outright rejection or a poke in the eye with a sharp stick...but it is driving me crazy.

You pretty much got it right. Sometimes a poke in the eye seems preferrable. That's what I went through two years ago, and then this year I reapplied and got in. Hang in there, it will be tough and annoying, but in the end if it is really what you want to do then it is worth it.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I have a few alumni docs that are going to make a some phone calls for me. Hopefully that will put me over the edge and I can at least get an interview.
