Guys, I was visiting SDN the last couple of days getting all ready to re-apply and stuff, but today I got an acceptance from NYMC. I just wanted to let you guys know that if you're currently feeling desperate and down, all hope is not lost and I'm sure you all will make very fine doctors.

That's awesome, man. Congratulations!! From the waitlist? Do you have an mdapplicants profile? or can you give a bit more information about your situation (i.e. your journey from app to acceptance?)

Thanks!

hmmm... no MD applicants... but 3.68, 32Q for numbers. applied for the first time this year, and really felt competitive (at least in Cali -- espcially at my home institution (UCD)), and then got a bunch of rejection letters. was starting to think about reapplying/what to do next year, and start looking for jobs and stuff. and then the acceptance came. interviewed at NYMC mid-Feb, if that helps.

I doubt their waitlist will begin to move until the 15th.

I assume you're talking about ruwan and not me, since I'm still on 3 waitlists.

back in the day (last summer), i was so confident that my stats were good enough to get into any cali school. well, i guess it just goes to show you that it's all a giant crapshoot.
