I'm getting more heat for my posts than I did in the past.

I want to be sure that the audience hasn't changed so much that my posts are now unwelcome.

I will put it to a vote.

You seem like a funny person that I would probably get along with irl.

However, I don't typically bother to read your posts because I assume they're going to involve humor or an attempt at humor and not much else. I don't come here to laugh. I come here to get information and help others with information (with a little humor once in awhile).

It was refreshing to see a serious post from you in a thread the other day tbh. I don't think you should stop posting, but maybe you can reevaluate how much humor you post (remembering that humor to one person can be offensive to another and who knows who is reading this forum). With that said, nothing you've ever posted has ever offended me asfaik.

Opinion of n=1, take with grain of salt, and all that jazz.

When interviewed about it, he said that he plays music for himself, and if other people want to hear it they have to hear it on his terms. Otherwise they can leave.

If being a smart-aleck makes you happy, then by all means continue. Pay no mind to your detractors. If anything, become more vexatious for spite, and laugh heartily at their ire.

I definitely enjoyed your humor during the application process this past year. I do think some of your posts are a little silly, but I have no problem just ignoring posts that don't interest me. If people don't like your humor, they don't have to read your posts. It's probably best to avoid calling others' questions stupid though. Even if you're just trying to be funny, they might not realize you're joking.

No, seriously, I live a lavish lifestyle, and I have a pet porpoise. Periodically my porpoise will act up, you know, like it will refuse to do backflips and stuff for company when they drop by. I tell my company, oh, my porpoise is just sad today, and then we retire to the lounge to smoke cigars and s h i t. But before we go, I shoot my porpoise a quick look that says "you're gonna get it later, porpoise!" and the porpoise gets a frightened look in it's eye because it knows what's coming.

Then I enjoy the rest of my evening with my company, and usher them out around midnight to 1:15am. Then I march over to the porpoise aquarium where the punishment commences. This is the only way to keep a porpoise in line. You know this if you have a porpoise.
