I'm already incredibly disorganized, so I tend to avoid making flashcards because I know I'll lose them! 😛 But I do have some from a variety of classes...very scattered, though...and in the process of trying to clean up my apparently tornado-struck room, I'm wondering what to do with them.

They're mainly from biochem and anatomy...stuff which I guess might come up again on some boards or other tests...but my first thought is to toss them since they're not systematic or thorough or anything, and there are always review books for board study. Anyway, I'd imagine the boards cover stuff that's more clinically relevant than some of the things I've been studying?!

So what's the consensus...toss or keep? 😕

I don't normally make flash cards, but I would say toss them. When studying for the boards you need more high yield material and general study material for class is a little too broad for step 1. Plus 1st year material isn't as represented on step 1 as much as 2nd year.

Thanks...out to the curb it is!

Although I'm now wondering about my transcripts, handouts, notes, etc...those are more organized and probably more useful, I'm guessing...so I'll hang on to those for now...but I wonder what my room will look like in 3rd year...I'll have so many binders I won't be able to move!

Toss it all. This suff is low yield for the boards and for being a good Dr. It's review books from here on out........

Toss, start working with the review books now.
