alot of people have mentioned keeping in contact with the schools they're interested in attending...ok keeping in contact how, am i calling with random questions, that i already have the answers too...am i calling about shadowing oppourtunities with students?
and who am i supposed to be speaking with that is actually going to help me when it's time for the application and interview

This is tricky. Some schools hate it when you call them all the time. I would suggest a phone call evey now and then and email admissions people (start right now) and network.

Some people are better at it than others. You must be a good people person which is sometimes learned but most of the time natural.

It helps a lot to go visit some schools pre application and take a tour, talk to the man in charge (or women), and network. Visit your local school.
