Alright so I am a premed student and will be taking the MCAT in two weeks. Ive been set on medicine for a long time, however both my sisters have become dentists within the past 3 years and I was temporarily inspired with their work and felt the interest. Now obviously if I want to dental i need to be emotionally and mentally devoted and i know i would embrace it quickly.

With that said I just wanted to know about the DAT a little more. I am eligible to sign up for any date as of today and I know there is the PAT, RC, Quantitative and the general sciences section. So by me studying for the MCAT would I be ready for the science section at least?

Thanks for any input.

PS- i looked at the ada website about the DAT and wasnt finding any info i needed and sadly my sisters were out of date with their information about the DAT or they didnt remember much.

Yes, you would be.

Also: If you can read and do math (SAT level stuff, practically) then you should be fine on RC and QR.

Just study the PAT a ton. Lots of practice and you should be golden.

AA - Academic Average (Average of TS, RC, and QR)
TS - Total Science (Bio, OChem, GenChem)
PAT - Perceptual Ability
RC - Reading Comp
QR - Quantitative Reasoning

The test is scored out of 30, with a 19-20 being the average for martriculants at most schools.
