A friend of mine was dropped out of dental school cuz this person failed a few courses. He provided legitimate reasons as to why this happened...some medical probs...yet they kicked him out. He wants to reapply to dental schools...but does he stand a chance or is he blacklisted from pretty much every school

"When you are being run out of town, get out front and make it a parade." Sounds like your friend was reactive rather than proactive and suffered a major blow. Your friend should have given the school a heads up about the medical problems before the academic problems became an issue. That is all Monday morning QBing, but a good object leason for all of us. As for another chance, who knows? Sometimes a certain door only opens once. However, one would think that there has been other cases in which individuals were readmitted after being dismissed for academic cause. My gut feel is that your friend's best chance will reside with the school from which he or she was dropped.

Tons of chance. Just that he has to do the DAT over, retake the classes that he failed or didn't do well as a post-bac. And don't apply to the school that dropped him out again.
Year in year out, I have seen kicked out students go to school again. Just explain it in a way so that admissions ppl buy it.
Good luck
