I'm glad that i make horrible decisions in life...

if only I would have went to either Rutgers, USP or Albany's colleges of pharmacy when I was accepted into their "guaranteed a seat in pharm school if you meet the requirements" programs coming out of highschool and not realizing that horrible decision until now...AHHH!!!

can anyone relate to my agony? haha

Same here. I'm going to Rutgers right now but not pharmacy school. If I had taken it when I had the chance. 0+6 programs are mad idiotic. How will someone with a 2.3 GPA (no PCATs) be a better pharmacist than someone with a 3.8 GPA and 99 percentile PCATs (me)? It's not right that they give such a huge advantage to people who knew they wanted pharmacy like 6 mnths before I did. I know someone who failed pharmacology and wasnt kicked out (just got put a year off). Plus, Rutgers is the only one NJ and mad cheap, so its gonna suck if i have to go somewhere else. Everytime i think about pharm school, I keep thinking y i didnt check that other box in 2003.

wow you should have no problem getting into pharmacy school other places though, even tho i know what u mean about rutgers ...its a great pharmacy school and i just hate myself for not going there...AND I CHECKED THE RIGHT BOX! haha...somehow i ended up in the mountains of the poconos in a pre-pharm program when i knew i wanted to be a pharmacist from my junior year of highschool...i just didnt think it would be this hard to get in anywhere its so competitive!...where are u applying to??

I just took the PCAT in January so I couldn't apply to most of the schools. Rutgers transfer deadline is March 30, so there and Temple says they have no deadline, so I'll be applying there also. But even if I get into Temple and not Rutgers, I am thinkin about finishing my last year and really strengthening my application (better recs and more pharmacy experience) because I think 1 more year of school mite be worth not having to go to philly and the extra $6-10 thousand per year that Temple costs. What do u think I should do if i get into Temple and not Rutgers?

All of this could be avoided if I can get into Rutgers this year.

You might want to double check on this, but when I called to set up my interview the admissions lady told me that they were done interviewing at the end of this month.

that sux. i emailed them a while ago and asked when the deadline was and they responded with there is no deadline. are there any other schools near NJ whose deadline has not passed?
