Came across this article yesterday.

Like many groups we have purchased more readily available KN95s in case our hospital supply of standard N95s flames runs out (so far, no issues thankfully). But if this goes on for a long time (months), it could be a concern. It’s more of an issue in the ER and prehospital where they burn through the N95s much more rapidly.

What are y’alls thoughts on the KN95s? When I first saw them i was skeptical but i am even more cautious after seeing this from Canada. Anyone have any extra insight here?

I wouldn’t use them unless they’re my last resort.

My wife got me some at a premium from a relative who lives in China. They all come with the proper documentation, but deep down you know they all can be faked. If they have the audacity to sell a government subpar masks and tests, why couldn’t they sell you, as an individual or small business buyer subpar PPEs.

I got some as well, but definitely don’t give you the seal you expect with n95. Perhaps they just don’t fit me well. Im using them as regular masks when going outside for work/groceries.

Same for me. I actually did the fitting test. No good. The shape and the thin fabric just do not make a good fitting possible.

The only one that fits well and I can wear hours is the halyard N95. 3M 1860 failed too and I got lightheaded after 30mins. Sadly, we are running out of the halyard supply.
