Hello all,

I'm a researcher in a cancer research lab. I also have another title : Lab Safety Officer. Basically, I make sure the lab is safe, the SOP are good, the SDS are also good. I also give presentations on safety procedures (supposed to happen every year).

Should I just add it with research or put it in a separate category? If so, which one?

Thank you

Are you doing research as a Lab Safety Officer? That will answer your question.

Nope but I'm lost at to what category to put it in. Leadership seems far fetched and teaching doesn't seem right. Any idea?

Not research. What "category" are you talking about? Under EC's

Teaching would work, provided you have enough hours for it to stand alone. Otherwise, you might add it to the title of the Research space and discuss it there.

I would just add it onto the description for that research activity as one of your responsibilities in the lab. If you had to go through a whole process to get that position (there are certified chemical hygiene officers, etc.) then you might consider putting it in another category.
