Hi everyone,

I am going to be applying for clinical phd programs this fall and am taking my GRE's in a few weeks. I have been quite anxious for obvious reasons but the biggest issue is really trying to figure out what types of scores I need. Almost every school does not report any statistics for their 2012 class and thus only the old score ranges are reported. While I know we can look to concordance information they are re-norming the GRE in august with a new test, making that less relevant. So I am wondering if anyone knows how the revised gre was used last year and what scores on the revised GRE (new scale) someone would need to get into a balanced (4 or 5 in insiders guide) to have a reasonable shot.

I think everyone is just going on the concordance scales and the equivalent 1200 old scale score right now and we won't completely know until a year or more down the line.

Also, what do you mean by they are re-norming it this August with a new test? Did you mean, perhaps, to put last August or are they making another new one this year? I haven't heard anything about a revised revised version... :eyebrow:

From what ive read the revised test was easy so they are just increasing the difficulty a bit to try and get 150 as the 50th percentile. I think there is a post somewhere from manhattan gre about it

Looking at concordance tables from ets 150 is actually below the 50th percentile. So wouldn't that mean they would be making it easier if they were going to do anything?

It also says that the percentiles will not be updated until July 2013. I also can't find the article you are talking about.

I must have read some wrong information then, my mistake.
