Is it true that anesthesia does not deal with too much pathology? I was told that most of career-focused topics involve phsyiology and pharmocology (understandably), but don't really focus on pathology. How true do you guys find this to be?

If you define pathology by the histopathology of looking at slides or the anatomic pathology of autopsies, then no. Won't see much of that in any field except for pathology and radiology. Now pathophysiology is an entirely different story.

I agree that pathophysiology is important. Comorbidities will greatly influece your management, as cirrhosis of the liver or COPD can affect the meds you push.
