During fermentation, lactate is made from pyruvate. Why doesn't pyruvic acid make the body acidic as much, if not more, than lactic acid? Especially when pyruvic acid is more acidic?

What's the next step after pyruvate is made in aerobic respiration? Pyruvate gets oxidized in the Krebs' Cycle.
What the next step after lactic acid is made in anaerobic respiration? Nothing. The lactic acid sits there and builds up as more pyruvate is converted to lactic acid.
So pyruvate is only around for a short amount of time while lactic acid builds up.
