I'm curious if you wear your rings under the gloves while grossing, or do you take them off? I'd be worried that the glove would perforate or that the stone could come lose. Of course on the other hand you don't have to worry about being sterile like in surgery, so maybe you just keep them on.

afraid they won't come off?? I don't wear rings simply because they make my finger itchy..but the chain around the nect is definitely the best idea....they will rip those plastic gloves anyhow.....

Give a woman a huge diamond ring - I bet it cures their "itchy finger" problem.

I wear only my wedding band to work, not the diamond engagement ring. I bring the diamond out for special occasions.

Yeah, as in any ring that actually fits my finger usually gets stuck at my proximal interphalangeal joint when I try to remove it and needs to be pried off. I've always had this completely irrational phobia that one day I will try on a ring that won't come off without a digitectomy... :scared:

I just don't like the way rings feel. In the same way that I don't like the way bangles feel. They, how do you say, feel like they're in the way.

I don't know if I'd ever like to drip with diamonds. I have to say I've never been tried, but a big part of me doubts it.

I haven't really worn a ring very often. However, lately my boyfriend has been hinting around about getting engaged, and that is why I was wondering about it.

A round smallish wedding band shouldn't be a problem. However, I'd strongly advise against wearing huge rocks when doing grossing or autopsies. Even though I always wear a double set of surgical gloves when I did autopsies (in the AIDS-days) I'm sure that they'ed be torn by a carbon rock - not that I have any 🙂
