2009 practice test has an IUPAC question involving lambda (#100). is this something to be prepared for? also, does anyone know how to do #99 in the science section?

Thanks for your help!

No, you don't need to know that. They gave enough different examples and specific enough answer choices that the answer can be figured out without prior knowledge of lambda convention.

For #99 the reactions you need to know are the following:
Br2/FeBr3
EtOH, H+
Williamson ether synthesis
LiAlH4
SOCl2, Grignard Reaction

I believe this is all of them, try to work out a retrosynthesis given this. If you need me to draw it all out, send me a pm and I will.
