Languages on AADSAS

if we put a language down on the AADSAS app will schools automatically assume we're fluent and potentially try to do an interview in a different language??

i ask because there was no space to specify anything and idk if i can handle the stress of an entire interview in a different language

This is from the AADSAS instructions:

"Dental students interact with patients from many backgrounds. Other than English, indicate any language in which you feel comfortable conversing with native speakers. You have the ability to choose up to two additional languages."


If you don't feel comfortable having an interview in the language, then you shouldn't put it down.


In one of my interviews, I was given a biography of my interviewer, and I noticed that he lived in a French speaking country for several years (I speak French) so I was hoping for a French interview. But this didn't happen as there was a current D2 student in the room. I really doubt many interviews are held in foreign languages.

i'd definitely feel comfortable doing part of an interview in a different language i just felt like it would be stressful to know someone is judging both your answers to the questions and your ability to speak...i think i'm worrying about it too much

I had my interview in 2 diff languages. I felt very comfortable and there was nothing to be worried about.
