Hi everyone,

I am getting ready to buy a laptop for dental school and wanted to get some opinions. Our requirements say that we need a 15 inch monitor and 80 GB hard drive. The computer I am looking at is only 12.5 inch and has 60 GB. Do you guys think that will cause me a problem later? Also does anyone have a tablet PC? How do you like it? I am considering buying one but it will cost me an extra 300 dollars so I dont know if it will be worth it. Sure you can take notes on it but then you would have to print them all out (I dont like studying off a computer screen).....

Any opinions will be greatly appreciated!!!!

I can't see how it would matter at all. The screen is just going to be what you personally look at, so if you want smaller, i'd go for it. I personally hate clunky laptops so i went as small as possible.

You might try calling the office of student affairs first though, just to make sure.

The tablet PC is up to you, i don't see it as being very useful, but some people in my class really like being able to use it as a notepad.
