Hey everyone. I’m taking the CBSE in a few weeks and I can’t get my UWorld scores higher than a 35 on a full block. I feel like I’m hitting a wall and idk how to increase my scores. I’ve been using Anki ever since I started studying for the CBSE but I just realized how much of a waste of time it is for me because I didn’t retain much from it when going through questions.

Right now I’m doing Uworld questions, reading the explanations then watching videos on that topic (sketchy, B&B, pathoma, dirty medicine). Should I just be focused on high yield topics? And what resources should I prioritize?

For the actual exam day, do we get a 15 minute tutorial thing before the exam starts?

yes you get a 15 minutes tutorial. As for your exam. To be honest you are so far away from getting a score that will help you into residency. I would reframe my approach as that of one trying to learn so that you can take this experience and improve. Don’t waste your time trying to cram it all in but take the time to truly learn the material in a way that it will be useful when you try again in February.

how much of UWorld have you completed?

I only completed 20% of Uworld. I was initially doing 10 questions a day when I had time, and recently I've been doing 40 question blocks when I have free time.

Learn what worked and didn't work for you and use the exam as an opportunity to learn, as you'll see the way the questions are a bit different than uwolrd and NBMEs.
At uworld score of 35% it indicates a weak foundation so you might want to do BnB or bootcamp first, it shouldn't take longer than 2 months then jump into uworld you'll see your scores are getting much higher, then NBMes for the last month until your exam.
Use other resources as you see fit but uworld is the gold standard.
Good luck, you got this 👍.

Is the nbme free 120 a must before sitting the exam?

Thank you! Where can I find the free NBME's?

Google it there are PDFs posted on reddit, but at this stage I wouldn't waste the NBMEs as you can use them later for score prediction.
