Univ of Michigan vs. Henry Ford? I am unsure which to rank #1. Any thoughts? I felt really comfortable at HF, but U of M seems to have a better name/more $$.

I don't know a thing about either program, but I think if you genuinely like Henry Ford better you might want to rank it first. Because either way, you're going to come out the other end a board-eligible psychiatrist in 4 years. Why not try to spend those 4 years in the place you think you'd be happiest?

I suppose it depends on what your ultimate goals are. I don't know those two programs' reputations well enough to comment on them specifically, but maybe someone else will come along who does. Good luck making your choice. 🙂

Only if you want an academically-oriented career. If you want a name with an academic reputation, UM is what you want. If you want community-based training from a "name" hospital with a good regional reputation, Henry Ford might be what you want.
