I am so nervous for the test! I have improved each time I have taken the pearson practice exam (Have taken all 3). The only section i'm up and down with is bio. I'm scared i might score low on it with all the random questions. My highest section has been chem averaging around 75-95ish range. Math has been high also 70-90ish range. Many people who took it said the quant was really difficult where your practice quant scores similar to mine? I have improved most on reading comp. First two test 5-25 smh and then the last one 25-45 but I felt a lot more confident. I have been practicing immensely on that. Verbal has been okay at 40-60 range average on all my test. Should I be okay on the test? I have put so much in to this test I feel disappointed in these practice scores. I have done dr collins and these test since MAY. My bio average is 35-55 on the practice but I have studied so much for this section 🙁 I take the test monday btw so I'm continuing to review. Any last second advice is appreciated. Would you recommend studying the day before or take it off? I honestly can't remember the last time I didn't study at least 3 hours in a day. With the pcat and my classes that has been the case so my brain feels fatigued. Any advice is appreciated thanks guys

Wow. It is terrible how unsupportive so many people are on these Pharmacy theads. It is no wonder employers who have a customer aspect are in need of people who are capable of empathy. I will be taking the PCAT soon too, and am very worried, but all you can do is know that you prepared the best you can, and you will do your best when you take it. As many other posts have said, the PCAT does not necessarily make or break your admission to Pharmacy school, so do your best, and just in case be ready to sell yourself in your interviews! 🙂 GOOD LUCK!

+1 yesss sirrr. The internet provides some people to act hard on the net or say some things that they wouldn't in person. Mr. Tank is koo guy from what I have seen on the boards for advices and stuff but sometimes you go a little dumb and Im not talking west coast hyphy son lol

The day before the test, if you do choose to study, don't do anything that you know will frustrate you... maybe practice your quant or chem, something to get your self-confidence up. Don't have a long practice session. Do something fun. Get plenty of sleep.

I find it helpful while I'm studying to make a very short list of equations / formulas / relationships to cram in my head right before the test. I generally can manage 3 or 4 non-memorized equations (ones I just cram), but the rest has got to be memorized. This is the only studying I like to do the morning of a big, general test like this. Maybe some reading to get my mind limber.

Don't forget to eat well - something that won't make you feel junk a couple hours after you eat it. Stay hydrated. Dress in your favorite / most comfortable clothes. Shoot, get a haircut the day before if it'll make you feel more self-confident / relaxed.

The most important "night before" ritual I have is I sit down, finish whatever last-minute things I want to study, then I tell myself - I've prepared the best I can for this test. I will do my best. No regrets!

Some people find visualization helpful in high stress situations - visualizing themselves confidently writing the essay, filling in multiple choice questions, feeling relieved when the questions come easily. Then visualizing that high score on the after-test print out.

Whatever works for you. Good luck! 😀

How are the breaks scheduled at the center? Im gonna bring some orange juice and a sandwich for the breaks. Can we take a break if we finish a section early? I want to utilize my breaks to the max to stay fresh throughout the whole test!

Why are you apologizing? No need to apologize to a douche kind of comment that was made. Good luck on your test and stay positive.

To be honest, I would totally say these things in person. I'm a VERY VERY VERY nice guy in person but there is just so much I can take from people. I expect all future pharmacist/health care providers to show a certain level of professionalism or to act a certain way. It might sound like I'm being a douche but it's just what I expect from people who are trying to be pharmacists or doctors. When I see/hear of aspiring pharmacists or doctors saying things like "yo bro, I didn't study at all PLEASE HELP ON PCAT" the first thing I think is "he's not going to be a pharmacist or a doctor." I seriously can't help it, but think about it this way. Would you want that kind of person to be your pharmacist or doctor? Would you put your life in that person's hands? I sure as hell wouldn't, but that's just me. Anyway, that's just what goes through my head when I read posts like that and I can't help but react.

I do agree with your logic, but the truth is some of those kind of people that you stated actually do become pharmacist or doctors lol. I see people on these boards where I can't even comprehend what they are trying to say or say comments like you stated such as "help me on pcat". I wrote something like that above but I stated more than just help as I have been studying immensely for this exam. It does irritate me also when people come on here and say "I only studied kaplan and for 2 weeks", or "I read kaplan on the beach" (Yes someone did state that). I don't bother responding. We need some people like that in the process. The pharmacy and other health care fields are getting over saturated. If everyone could be one such as nurse lol who everyone and there mom can be one then we would have a problem. I took the pcat seriously by doing research 4 months prior how to study with collins, pearson exams and other sites for info. I'm not gonna pretend like I'm the pope or something, I can be an ass, but this board is full of nice people, and some people get nervous for exams and this is the way he or she vents so don't try to get too irritated lol I can't wait to get this exam over with, get my life back and hit the clubs yeee buddie haha
