Hey guys

Thanks for giving this a look.

Just received my MCAT score: 29Q
Michigan Resident

sGPA: 3.98
cGPA: 3.95

I was looking to apply to Michigan Schools, but MD and DO. I'm a disadvantaged student, both a minority and economically.

Decent EC's.

Is my MCAT/Late App going to hurt my chances? And also submitting application this week because of stupid AP credit letter I'm waiting to be marked as received.

If you submit today, it will take a little more than a month for your verification to be completed. You do not have to wait for your transcripts to be received by AMCAS before you submit.

I am confused as to why you are having an AP credit letter sent. Is the AP credit not listed on your college's official transcript?

To minimize the effect of your later submission, you might want to start writing out your Secondary essays now (from prompts you'll find in the School Specific forums) so that when formally invited to send them in you'll have a rapid turn-around time. A verification in early September and getting Secondaries and other supplemental materials sent in by the end of September will result in some decrease in your chances, which is variable depending on how competitive you are for a given school. The decrease is small to start, but rapidly escalates into October and November. So don't be a procrastinator.

For AMCAS, I had to send an updated transcript and right now the coursework reflects my updated transcript. I got worried that verification would be messed up if I have that new change in my coursework and a old transcript on file. I'm sure the transcript was received Mon JULY 22, but AMCAS is delayed in marking them as received.

For AACOMAS, my AP credit is not listed on my official transcript so I had a letter from registration sent out next day to their office. Delivered July 24, but still not marked as received.

Weird situation :/

Should I just go ahead and submit each?

I just didn't want trouble with verification then having it sent back to me then more delays, which is why I am being so cautious. Already found some secondaries to work on tho MSUCOM, WSU, CMU.

1) Since your AP credit is from a test taken in HS, I'm not sure why the transcripts your school sent out would not be identical, with the AP credit ascribed to your freshman year.

I have no first-hand experience with the way AACOMAS works, but for sure go ahead and submit to AMCAS. You'll be waiting in a verification line for quite awhile, giving plenty of time for the transcript to be checked in.

2) Good.
