I submitted my AADSAS application very early in June of this year, but I realized that some schools have not yet recieved my supplemental application fee to consider my application for review. I was expecting they were going to email me or mail me a notice letting me know what else is missing like most of the dental schools did, but they do not. Although there application deadlines are still far enough away to give me plenty of time to send an application fee, will sending it so late hurt my chances of acceptance since they have not reviewed my application? I feel really stupid for making what could be a huge mistake.

Thanks for info,
Shwedly

Unofrtunately, yes... if you look at the "participating schools" on the AADSAS website, it tells you whether or not to wait for an admissions officer to contact you before you send the supplemental fee.

If you haven't sent it out to schools such as Marquette and Case Western (among a few others), it would be a waste of money at this point, for these schools are pretty much done handing out interviews (Case has handed them out through april). I would investigate a bit before you start writing checks to ensure you don't waste your money!

good luck

Thanks for the tip, the three schools I was concerned about were columbia, stony brook, and university of maryland. Columbia was professional enough to not call me back, even though I left a message quite early in the day. The lady I spoke with concerning Stony Brook on the other hand was very professional and kind. She told me that application fee is submitted electronically while the application is reviewed on paper. Even though I had not submitted my app. fee the admissions committee were still reviewing my application b/c they did not know that I had not electronically submitted the fee yet. She told me to do it ASAP before they figured it out. LoL
Lastly, I called University of Maryland and spoke with someone as well. She told me that it was not to late to submit the fee since they were doing interviews till January. Ofcourse, in this case it did hurt my chances a bit since my appl. could of got reviewed earlier but I am still safe. Did 2-3 day shipping on the check. hehe.
