I was thinking of taking the test mid july but after hearing everyone saying how difficult it has become im thinking of pushing it off till mid august. is that honestly too late?I feel like people already have their applictions and grades in by now. this is so stresfull

I wouldn't take it until you at least feel close to ready. However, I also think many of us could study Bio for months and may not cover some of the odd questions people are saying are showing up. I doubt you'll ever feel 100% ready. So you have to weigh the options. If you are not doing well on practice tests and feel like most concepts you come across you're shaky on, then wait. An earlier bad score doesn't help at all, and is actually probably worse than a better, later score. But if you feel like you're comfortable with most things, are doing well on practices, and are just stressing because of what everyone on here is saying, I don't think you should push it back. You would have to wait 3 months to retake and Nov would be pretty late in my opinion. Overall though you just have to do what is best for you and make a decision either way and stick with it. Don't get all caught up in the "it's harder, it's not harder, it's nothing like what I studied, Destroyer/Achiever/Topscore taught me all I need to know" stuff. Only you can figure out what you need to do.

I have taken the test before, the chem sections are not scary at all..be afraid of the bio, though, be very afraid (and the qr, pat, rc are as bad as you think they are in practice)

haha. ok im convinced. im very afraid so ill wait till im ready. Im good at understanding concepts and memorizing- i just need time. ill probably wait and just get my application in ASAP without the DAT scroes

gluk everyone

Dont rush taking the exam i took it mid august and everything was absolutely fine with the processing of my application. Make sure that you are confident when you take it, so that you only have to take it once.

Just make sure you submit the rest of your application early and have your scores sent off automatically. I tested Aug 20-something last year and felt I was a little behind the curve. I still received a bunch of interviews and got into one of my top choice schools but feel like an earlier app could have improved my odds at a couple of schools.
