Hello there

I am IMG who will be giving his step 2 CK on 30th Aug and thus be able to get ECFMG certified by around 20-30th September only.

IM people have clearly told that if one applies after Sep 1, number of calls reduce significantly.

Is it the same in Psychiatry ?

Please help me, as it will decide whether i take an year off and apply next year than present. (which is a huge deal. i really want to save an year if possible.)

From my personal experience, I did not get any call submitting my application without ECFMG certificate. Though I had good scores and USCE and research experiences.

Thanks for helping...had you also applied for psych...from your other posts it seems you were applying for FM though it won't matter in context of my query.

out of the 180 programs in psych, only 35 will look at ur app without ecfmg cert.
