late lors..so when to apply ?

Hi ...please give your advice...i am ready with my application ...have 4 lors three from india and one from the us...( i am an img )...i will get two more from tufts soon....but with eras taking about 2 weeks for screening the documents.. it will be 3 weeks atleast before i ll be able to send them to programs .

My gut feeling is to apply now...but I want the programs to see these lors...will it be too late to apply then...😕😕
Can I send more lors than the progs have asked for ?....thanx

Dude, apply now! Don't wait on those letters from Tufts. The earlier you get your application in, the better your chances of getting interviews. If you really want the programs to see those letters from Tufts, on your ERAS application, you can designate your letter writers from that school. As the letters come in, they will be uploaded into your ERAS application.
By the way, you don't necessarily need all of your letters to get interviews. Hell, I don't have all of mine in yet, and I've already got 6 interviews, three in internal medicine and three in family practice.

Its extremely early in the process, but you don't want to wait until too late (which depends on what specialty you are applying for). However, as noted above, you can apply without waiting for these other letters, when they come in they can be sent.

You can send more letters than programs ask for, but I would not recommend more than 1 extra letter. Too many and you run the risk of alienating the programs and hurting yourself.

I think it depends completely on what you are looking for. If you are looking for a University program or a competitive field, then letters from Tufts would be very valuable. You might want to wait until those letters are available. Three US letters looks much better than one. Another 1-2 weeks probably won't make much of a difference. Past Mid October and you're getting on the late side. Past Nov 1st and you've missed the bus.

can you explain wht u mean by saying timing depends on type of specialty.....what is it for for anesthesia
