Late start for Residency

Hey guys, I understand that fresh medical graduates start their residencies in early July. But, it seems that I find myself in a situation where I would not be able to start a residency program until early September, due to the fact that I'll be finished with my MS-4 by late August. Are program directors going to look unfavorably on this? Thanks guys!

I am in the same situation as you were in 2004 and I am emailing to see how things turned out for you. I hope everything worked out well, and I was hoping to get some advice from you as to how program directors reacted to the possibllity of a late start for residency. I would really appreciate it if you could please respond at your earliest convenience. It's funny because I searched all of SDN and I couldn't find any relevant posts besides yours which is from 2004!

this topic has been discussed extensively and every year. I'd venture your search terms were not thorough enough.

obecalp has not posted on SDN in 4 years (although interestingly logged in yesterday) so you may not get a response.
