hi,

Ive had enormous troubles with my LOR and scrambling to get something done about it. Are you in trouble with UC's if your LOR's are not in by more than a month and a half after you recieve the secondary? Would it be worth sending two of mine and sending the science one which is held up as soon as i get it?
On a separate note, has anyone gained admission to a UC even when turning in the application past the deadline (1 to 2 wks)? Is that automatic reject in this process? I know its too much riding on it to even take the risk but **** happens sometime i guess....

why dont you send in your secondary so they can at least have that and buy you some time with the LORs.
and then send your LORs as they come in.

working to get em done asap but curious if anyone has gotten in even when turning em in late...

Also, Is it worth getting a secondary from a gsi in a sci class; its obviously better than nothing but the prof i was going to get it from is unreasonably pissed off at me, long story, and I feel it would hurt if I get it from her at this point; one of my gsi's is cool and says she could write a good one for me and get it co-signed from the prof or is this an automatic red flag to adcoms?

i got a letter from GSI at cal, and got it co-signed by the professor. considering the fact that i have been getting quite a bit of interviews so far, i can say that it should not be a problem. in fact, if the GSI can write you an awesome one, as mine did, it will work to your advantage, even more so than a mediocre one from the professor.

in short, don't worry about GSI writing you one. as long as you can get a solid LOR, you will be good to go. 👍

go bears!
