late?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I sent mine out the first week in August last year and got in, so I don't think you are too late. Good luck!

Better late(r) than never! Congrats on getting that thing finished

Good luck! Now get ready for those secondaries 🙂

You're nowhere near late. About half of the applicants still have to take the August MCAT's. Which is what I did last year.

I agree with Green, AACOM started accepting primary apps on June 1st I believe...and although a lot of peeps got theirs in the day it was available, there are gonna be people sending them in throughout the rest of 2003. You should have no worries...

Not to worry.....I didn't even submit my initial AACOMAS application until very late October! And I got plenty of interviews and acceptances.

by the way...my stats were also soso.

awesome; SM where did you end up getting in?
i went to ucla for undergrad so i guess my first choice is western
i'm also taking the august mcat; but hopefully they'll look at my previous score instead of waiting for my august results

I didn't apply until late december. I had no problems with interviews/acceptances but had big problems with all the schools receiving both of my mcat scores. Somehow mcas screwed it up.

Do not worry 😀

You have sent yours early. There are many applicants that apply throughout the year. You greatly improve your chances by applying early. I didn't get my accomas app out until late Oct. I still received 3 interviews even with average stats.

Where else are you applying?

Good Luck!

i didn't apply until the last possible day which was FEB. 15th! the deadline was extended b/c of problems with the online application, but anyway i got in. you are nowhere near late.

FowlersGap-

I'm going to CCOM. I'm very lucky to have gotten into my first choice school.

As far as Western goes, I was not crazy about the school. I'm born and raised here in SoCal, but I really don't like the area Western is located. The students were great there though. During our interview, many of them took time to say hi and answer questions. My main concern was the clinical rotations and the campus kinda sucks. ( No offense to those of you going to Western !!! ) 🙂
I also am more interested in specialties, so I felt that CCOM or PCOM would be a better place for me.
