Latest for an audition elective?

Since most MS3s are planning their fourth year, I'm hoping someone can chime in with how late can I try to squeeze an audition/away elective in? For LORs I've heard september but I'm hoping if purely for getting an interview, october would still be ok?

Ive been in contact with a bunch of ms4s and I had the same question. I was looking to a rotation from mid october to mid november and most all of them said it wouldnt be a problem, if youre worried about interviews. They said you'd get a choice of multiple interview dates and doing them in late november / december / january should be easy.

As far as getting a letter of rec that late, I can't really comment on that.
