Leadership Experience

Hey guys,

I've been doing some digging at some DO schools and noticed that leadership isn't really mentioned much in their vision and mission statements compared to teamwork/collaboration. For anyone that has applied/been accepted, how significant was it to have leadership experience? I have roughly 4 months of leadership from an old job, hoping to get maybe one more because I will apply to TX MD schools, but it seems as if teamwork is more important than leadership for DO schools (just my assumption).

My DO school has leadership in its slogan. Any physician will be a leader at some point and leadership skills will help you during medical school. Teamwork and leadership are both important. Neither can substitute for the other.
