All of the kidney disorders are horrible, in my mind. I've never been able to grasp them. In class, I studied the powerpoints, read Robbins, read RR, but they still escaped me. Is there a resource out there that you used to figure them out, or is it just brute force? Thanks.

And I mean more along the lines of glomerular diseases, ATN, etc. I guess I really mean the nephrotic diseases.

I would sit down and reason them out, figure out why something appears the way it does under a microscope. If you add more depth to your understanding, you won't have to memorize as much.

Remember, Pathology is all about ischemia even in the kidney

Yah I would try and approach it from the ischemic/nephrotoxic/autoimmune approach. Study by categories and each dz process has some unique aspect about it which should be your trigger for recognizing it
