I just received a letter that I have been chosen as an alternate for this next year's class. Has anyone else been placed on the alternate list? Is this list ranked? Has anyone been moved off this list to an official acceptance? Is there list ranked? What are the chances of receiving an acceptance? Any info regarding this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply / info. I interviewed on 3/15 and I loved the school and thought that the interview went well. I have already called but the staff was already out of the office. I also e-mailed some questions but I probably will not hear anything until next week. If anyone has any info or experience with LECOM-Bradenton and their waitlist let me know. I read somewhere that last year's class had a waitlist of 50 students and I know some got in off the waitlist but I do not know any specifics.

Hey, I just got a letter today, and I was also picked as an alternate for LECOM-Bradenton. It's hard to be in a limbo situation, since you have no idea if you'll get in or not. Just like you, I thought my interview went really well, so I thought I was going to get accepted. I think I'd feel better if I knew my chances. Can anybody tell me how many people they had on the waiting list last year, and how many of them actually made it. Any kind of input about this would be nice because I just joined this forum this month, and I haven't really had a chance to read a lot of people's posts.

Hey yall 🙂 I've been an alternate since February- so are 2 others I know of from my school. I know last year there were LECOMers on the list all the way up till the day before school. I'm anxious to hear what you find out. Best of luck to us all 🙂

oh and one more thing- are yall doing anything for financial aid yet? I'm worried about them telling us at the last minute we're in. I know the students are supposed to get loan money about 2 weeks into school- but what if we don't find out until right before school? I think FAFSA has to have verification that we're actually going to be in med school before they start getting our funds ready.

Now im starting to get worried because my interview is on the 15th of April and is there a point of going to this interview when a lot ppl who interviewed before me are on the alternate list?
Did anyone call to ask if the class is filled yet??

The class is almost filled, but some people will drop out as they gain other acceptances.

I am also have an interview on the 15th of this month. I am really excited, but also worried about how many spots are left. I am going to try and call on Monday to see what the stats are for available seats at the school and I will get back to you all. Best of luck to everyone!

10 seats left as of now - but keep in mind many will drop out.

Thanks for all your input- my old roomie is over there now- also an MS-1. Since you seem to know the scoop, do you have any idea exactly HOW long the alternate list is- i know when i was put on, there were only 6 (odds seem good) -but now I'm wondering if there is a huge list. I know it won't help any to know- just curious and anxious- ya know. 🙂
